Chiropractic Patient Marketing

Chiropractors have traditionally been pro-active in marketing and have used all manners of communication to attract and retain patients. This should not be viewed negatively, just factually in that they were passionate about their profession and had no hesitation in telling their message.

Interestingly, whie chiropractic websites abound, the use of Web 2.0 has been slow and little use of the technology is evident when searching the web. YouTube is filled with various clips related to several chiropractic colleges and some private practices but they are amateurish and little effort has been made in linking with other sites.

I think the health professions lag behind a bit in their uptake of useful software due to some ill-founded ethical consideration but quickly catch on when the herd makes a rush for it. After all, some years ago, it was considered unethical to email patients. Now, it is wonderful saving on phone bills and newsletters are often emailed to save print and postage costs. Patients love the ‘green message’ of saving paper and ink.
